A Message from SealMasters of KC President John Hutchins

SealMasters of K.C., Inc., was created in 2006 out of a need to find a real solution to long lasting deck protection. I built a new deck in 2001 after tearing off the old, rotten, unsafe deck on our new home. That spring I spent large amount of time and money constructing a nearly 500 square foot deck that we could be proud to enjoy and entertain on. After careful research and product selection (or so I thought) I stained and sealed the new deck in the fall of 2001. By the spring of 2002 it was looking bad, so I went through all the prescribed steps again, but this time I got to start by stripping all the old deck stain off prior to the re-stain and re-seal. Well I went through that 2 more times, yes a total of 4 times from 2001 to 2004! 2005 I skipped it entirely, out of shear disgust. I knew I couldn't just let it sit there and rot away, besides it was too ugly to entertain on. We noticed we had more parties the first year or so, then we'd had in subsequent 4 or 5 years.

In early 2006, I began looking for the deck sealer that would protect and last. I found that there were several companies that were offering a permanent wood deck seal. It sounded too good to be true so I did a little research. I checked out a couple local companies and then found SealRx on the Internet. I made a few phone calls to Atlanta, and decided to make a trip down, to see what this was all about. I found that SealRx had many product and warranty advantages and decided to move forward with SealRx, and SealMasters was born.

In 2007, we added on the Amazing Garage Floor product line to go with the already successful SealRx offerings of wood, and concrete sealing.  We found our clients really enjoyed the protection and easy to clean floors that Amazing Garage Floors offered.

As the years have passed we’ve worked hard to provide the best client experience possible while working on more than 1500 homes in and around the Kansas City Metro area.  We always work hard to maintain schedules and deliver a little more than the customer ever expected when they hired us.

I don’t like to be pressured into purchasing anything at my home, and you can rest assured that we’ll never pressure you to make a decision at your home.  We’re happy to discuss your potential project over the phone, and set up a visit, if it makes sense. 

All projects are completed with our employees, and you may even find me on a job at your home.  We are insured for your protection and offer the best warranties that are available on our projects.  Our warranties are excellent and cover real world issues, not limited to things that will never occur or things you won’t really care about.
